The BPI Story

BPI started in Bob Augustine's garage in San Diego, California in 1955. In 1960 the business was moved into a building on El Cajon Boulevard and in 1977 the company became Bob's Law Printing, Inc. In May of 1994 we had outgrown our El Cajon location and moved into our present location on Mission Gorge Place in San Diego. In 1995 we purchased our Sacramento store and have opened new territories in Nevada, Arizona and Colorado.

1999 was a year of change for BPI. Bob's son, Rick, took the helm at BPI along with his wife, Debbie. In 2002 Debbie took over and in 2006 BPI became a woman owned business.

We have expanded our Custom Printing Department to include business cards, letterhead, brochures, postcards, door hangers and advertising specialties. Because of this, we have changed our name to BPI Custom Printing, Inc. We have kept the founder's original name as BPI stands for Bob's Printing, Incorporated.

Throughout the years BPI has maintained strong ties with the automobile industry. We have worked together to prosper through the good times as well as the challenging times. We have broadened our customer base to include printing and advertising specialties for the broader business world.

It has always been the goal at BPI to offer high quality products and personalized customer service to give you the tools to make the deal. We are a company of high integrity with the desire to serve our customer.
